Cracovia hockey team lost three games in a row. The away defeat against Podhale Nowy Targ (2:4 on January 16th) could have been predicted. But the away defeat against TKH Toruń (4:6 on January 21st) and the game against Zagłębie Sosnowiec, when Pasy failed to score a goal at home (0:2 on January 19th) are very worrying, as these two teams are the weakest in the top group of the league. Cracovia is in an serious crisis, and only three games are left before the play-offs. Luckily, GKS Tychy made little use of Cracovia’s defeats and, although they made it to the top place of the table, they are not a single point ahead of us. The play-off pairs are not yet known, but most likely Pasy will face Unia Oświęcim or Naprzód Janów in the first round. Cracovia fans must believe the coach Rudolf Rohacek, who claims, that the great form will come for the play-offs.
Cracovia football team begun preparations for the spring-round of the season. Pasy took part in an indoor soccer tournament Remes Cup held in Poznań. Coach Majewski selected 12 players who went to Poznań, while the rest strengthened the reserve team and faced Przebój Wolbrom, the leader of the 4th Division.
In Poznań Pasy lost the opening game against the hosts Lech Poznań 2:4 (Bojarski and Giza scored for Cracovia), later won 2:0 with Warta Poznań (after goals of Nowak and Moskała), which made us play for the 3rd place against Arka Gdynia. Unfortunately, Cracovia was crushed in the last game 0:5 and eventually finished fourth, while the Cup was won by Lech, who beat Widzew Łódź in the final
Those who stayed in Kraków drew 2:2 in a pre-season friendly versus Przebój Wolbrom. The goals for Cracovia were scored by our youngsters Dudzic and Snadny. For Dudzic it was the first appearance in a striped-shirt after his transfer from Unia Oświęcim in December. Snadny is a member of the junior team, which won U-18 Championship in the last year. We hope that these talented strikers will develop into classy players and they will show good skills during the top-league games.
In February Cracovia will go to Cyprus for a preparation camp, where three friendlies shall be played. Our rivals will be Mlada Boleslav from Czech Republic, Lokomotiv Sofia from Bulgaria and AEK Larnaca.
