Cracovia played three games in a row against newly promoted teams. At the beginning of a new season it is always difficult to predict how would they perform. Cracovia performed poorly in these games, nevertheless won two of them.

The first game, against Ruch Chorzów, was played at Kałuży without audience. This is due to a ridiculous decision of Polish FA after unrest during derby clash last season in May. The game was not a spectacular show, still all the fans missed a fantastic goal, as Pawlusiński scored form a 17-meter free-kick with a thunderous strike. This was the one and only goal of the game.

A week later Pasy went to Chorzów to face Polonia Bytom. Polonia cannot play games at her stadium, as it does not meet the requirements of Polish Top Division. So it can be said that this match was an away game for both teams (though it is not far away from Bytom to Chorzów). This was a nightmare performance by Cracovia, with no shots on goal in the first half, and just a few in the second. Polonia scored the winning goal after a swift counter-break, as Zieliński proved to be faster than all our defenders and scored with a precise shot in one-on-one situation. After this game Cracovia players heard deserved whistles form some 550 crowd of away fans.

The home game against Jagiellonia was a chance to rehabilitate. Pasy did not play a good game but were lethally efficient and won the game 2-0. The first goal came in the first half, as Kłus scored with a perfect header. Few minutes later Nowak dribbled past two defenders, but his shot was saved by Jagiellonia’s goalie. In the second half Pasy were waiting for a occasion to finish off the rivals. Such chance came in 80th minute: Nowak played a perfect ball to Pawlusiński, who left the defenders far behind and passed to Moskała, who scored with ease. Later Dudzic was fouled in the area, but referee’s whistle did not blow… The game was watched by ca. 2500 spectators, as only season-card holders were admitted for this ‘high-risk’ game.
